I am an Associate Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT) at the University of Toronto, and a member of the IKIT team.

My research focuses on the educational applications of computer-based technologies, with a particular emphasis on discursive processes in collaborative learning environments.  My publications include studies of thread development in asynchronous distance education courses, sociocultural supports for knowledge building in elementary science classrooms, and uses of multimedia and online technologies for teacher development.

I currently teach three graduate courses in the Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development program.  I also co-teach two initial teacher education courses in the Master of Teaching program.  You can access descriptions of these courses here.
